PSYCHOLOGICAL
ASSESSMENT
The psychologist assesses the child's overall development.
This includes physical, mental, emotional, social and behavioural
development. The evaluation includes questions about the child's
history, general adjustment at home and school, health, personality
and developmental tests.
- Emotional and social health
- Family and parenting skills
- Educational assessment : intelligence tests, aptitude,
career guidance, learning problems
- Developmental Assessments from birth to 8 years.
TREATMENT PLAN
The psychologist's task is to develop a treatment plan for
emotional, social, behavioural and learning problems. A combination
of any of the following therapies may be required to treat
the child's problems.
- Play Therapy
- Behaviour Therapy
- Parenting skills training
- Family Counselling
- Educational Kinesiology
- Sensory Training therapies- Auditory Integration Training
