Customer Service Manager for Qantas
I have been involved in the Australian aviation industry for approximately
15 years as an employee of Qantas Airways Ltd.
During that time I have been in positions of supervisory responsibility
including the past 4 years as a Customer Service Manager & Facilitator.
I have developed and delivered training packages in leadership, teamwork
and conflict resolution for over 1000 Flight Attendants, Supervisors,
Managers and Port Managers.
Ironically over the same period I struggled in my personal life to
manage my emotional stability, responsibilities, relationships and to
balance daily demands. I found it difficult to behave rationally, manage
anger and not take criticism personally.
I also became easily annoyed, pessimistic and disconnected with family
and friends. Of most concern was my frustration in failing to change
my own behaviour regardless of how hard I tried.
Considering myself of reasonable intelligence and discipline, it became
increasingly worrying that I couldn’t change my mental state,
relationships, career, health concerns or outlook.
Furthermore my personal concerns began to affect my work performance.
I became increasingly dissatisfied in my career, any self-esteem I had
I lost, and life felt like it was slipping through my fingers.
I was introduced to Anca and the process of Neuro Psychotherapy 18
months ago. To this day I would find it very difficult to explain how
this process works and sound intelligent at the same time – I
just know it does.
I have observed a number of fundamental changes since beginning, including
my ability to separate emotionally from issues, providing rational responses,
appropriate behaviour and a calmer me. The reactions and comments of
family and friends are very positive – they are not sure what
has happened just that I am far less confrontational and aggressive.
I have increased self-esteem, rarely procrastinate and am able to smile
and even laugh! I am enjoying much more of my life, seeing opportunities
all around me and I like myself in a healthy way.
I went to Anca to realise my potential and become the person that
I was born to be and can now see daily, practical and real evidence
that a transformation is occurring.
This would be an inaccurate testimonial if I didn’t mention
that at times it has been an extremely difficult, confronting and emotional
journey to take. However little by little a profound change is now taking
place in my life that feels sustainable, achievable and natural.
